Vitalitus recently sponsored the Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome Association (RSDSA) “2nd Annual Long Island CRPS/RSD Awareness Walk” on September 9, 2017 at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow, New York. Attendees felt empowered meeting others with same condition, as well as meeting medical professionals and industry participants such as Vitalitus who took the time to speak with attendees.
The 2nd annual event brought in 450 attendees (kids and adults) , raising more than $50,000. In addition, RSDSA received publicity from News 12 Long Island, Newsday, WBAB, WRHU, and East Meadow Herald to create additional awareness on CRPS.
After meeting the wonderful people at the RSDSA and seeing all the work they do to improve the lives of those in the RSD/CRPS community, Vitalitus has decided to continue sponsorship of the organization going forward and participate in additional events to bring awareness to the disease.
The RSDSA’s mission is to provide support, education, and hope to all affected by the pain and disability of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome / a.k.a. Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (CRPS/RSD), while driving research to develop better treatments for CRPS/RSD. They give those affected education, advocacy and hope. RSDSA also raises funds for research and they work with research groups and healthcare professionals worldwide to foster collaboration, communication and awareness.
